A new coating technology that allows wide adjustment of corrosion resistance and hardness. Savroc Oy has developed an environmentally friendly plating method that uses trivalent chromium instead of hexavalent chromium. In this process, components are first coated with nickel and then with chromium. As a result, the coating is extremely hard (950–1100 HV without heat treatment) and offers better corrosion resistance than traditional hexavalent hard chrome.
