Hard chrome plating provides products with hardness, corrosion resistance, and low friction. Traditional hexavalent hard chrome is well suited for applications requiring high wear and corrosion resistance.
Common applications include piston rods, shafts, spindles, pins, valve balls, saw blades, and similar components. The hardness of hexavalent hard chrome is 900–1050 HV.
