Hard Chrome Plating

Provides hardness, corrosion resistance, and low friction for products. Traditional hexavalent hard chrome plating is well suited for applications requiring high wear and corrosion resistance. Typical applications include piston rods, shafts, spindles, pins, valve balls, saw blades, etc. The hardness of hexavalent hard chrome plating is 900–1050 HV.

Triplehard® Basic

A new coating technology that allows wide adjustment of corrosion resistance and hardness. Savroc Oy has developed an environmentally friendly coating method that uses trivalent chromium instead of hexavalent chromium. In this process, components are first coated with nickel and then with chromium. As a result, the coating is extremely hard (950–1100 HV without heat treatment) and offers better corrosion resistance than traditional hexavalent chromium.

Triplehard® Wear

In this process, components are first coated with nickel and then with chromium. The result is an extremely hard (up to 1500 HV without heat treatment) and wear-resistant coating, ideal for applications requiring maximum protection.

Triplehard® Corrosion

In this process, components are first coated with nickel and then with chromium. Finally, the coated products are heat treated. The result is an extremely hard coating (approx. 1500 HV) with excellent resistance in highly acidic environments.

Nickel Chrome Plating

Improves the corrosion resistance of traditional hard chrome plating. Positioned between Triplehard® and hexavalent hard chrome as an alternative solution. The coating consists of a nickel underlayer with a hexavalent chromium top layer. Offers good corrosion resistance with a hardness of 900–1000 HV.

Repair Services

Suitable for refurbishing the chrome surfaces of various products, such as piston rods. In many cases, repairing an existing piston rod or similar component is more cost-effective than manufacturing a new one. We remove the old chrome layer by chemical stripping, repair surface damage, grind the base surfaces, and recoat the component back to its original dimensions. This also ensures that the refurbished rod has better wear and corrosion resistance than a new one, as the chrome layer is thicker than on a newly manufactured rod.

Belt Grinding

Grinding of rotating components to achieve the desired surface roughness.
